Blogging - Spark Your Creative Juices

'The more you blog, the harder it can be to come up with fresh ideas to write about. Two of the most important parts of a blog are compelling content and frequent updates. Take a look at the following blog post ideas to spark your creative juices when you can't think of what to write about. Just remember to try to apply each of these ideas appropriately to your blog topic.'

1. Lists
People love lists, and just about any kind of list is bound to attract traffic. Top 10 lists, 5 things not to do, 3 reasons I love something, etc. Start with a number then take it from there.

2. How-to
People love to find easy-to-follow instructions to help them accomplish a task. Whether you want to teach your readers how to throw the perfect curve ball or how to avoid getting bitten by a mosquito, the choice is yours.

How To Listen To Music
Listen to genres that are new to you or that you want to understand better. Try a light opera, or perhaps a show tune, played by an orchestra or just on piano. Do not think of anything else. This is a time to listen, enjoy and relax. You are going to try to develop a mental map of the music. Recognize and consciously listen for repetition and variation. There is very often also something new very near the end. Locate passages that you find especially rewarding. Are these passages repetitions, variations, or new? If they are variations, can you realize what it was that was varied? Understand that in musical composition, there are three main technical ideas:
Repetition: This simply refers to whenever a passage of music is repeated; pretty straightforward.
Variation: When a passage of music is repeated, but with alterations made to it.
New Melodies: This means when a new passage of music is introduced. Also self-explanatory. Remember that obviously the introduction, or beginning of a piece, is always new.

Listen once more to the same passage. This time, pay attention to what brings the music to these passages. Listen to as many details as you can.

3. Reviews

Music
Restaurants
Hotels

There's a restaurant on the island of Gozo...can't remember what it's called, but the chef's speciality is stuffed squid, which I tried...it was like trying to eat a rugby ball that had been dredged up from the ocean floor. The owner was very understanding and didn't charge me for the meal.
