eMMplekz - Rook to TN34

Rook to TN34 cover art

More gloomy leper techno and twisted prose from Baron Mordant & Ekoplekz; Rook to TN34 is some kind of genius. Comparisons have been made with Sleaford Mods and I can see why - the Baron's stream-of-consciousness, absurdist snapshot observations are on a similar wobbly rail to those of Jason Williamson. Mordant, however, goes even further in chewing up modern life and spitting it out as pulped texts, cut-up lines leant thematic weight by use of repeated phrases. Nick Edwards, as always, completes each piece with perfect, moody, mangled electronics. You wouldn't want to be stuck in a lift with it for fear of being driven insane in the membrane, but as a a form of unique, visionary madness, it's unmatchable.
