zeitkratzer + KEIJI HAINO - Stockhausen: Aus Den Sieben Tagen / A Year In The Country - Airwaves: Songs From The Sentinels

Stockhausen: Aus Den Sieben Tagen cover art

Deep, dark, disturbing & other thing starting with 'd', like 'difficult', perhaps, Stockhausen: Aus Den Sieben Tagen sits coiled on the hard drive, is prodded into life with the Play button & proceeds to slither out of the speakers, wrap itself around my head & stick its tongue in my ear to deliver acoustic dronal Improv with Haino's subterranean growl expounding the low end theory of the voice as instrumental in orchestrating Stockhausen's 'intuitive music', bowed strings, chattering clarinet & all, somehow ceremonial, solemn yet sublime & magnificent.

A Year In The Country deliver again & multi-package to please all wallets/taste, but more importantly this is not design style over content - Airwaves: Songs From The Sentinels achieves the impossible (?), more spectral sounds made for wandering the moors whilst wondering if those pylons aren't really transmitting messages from beyond the grave as techno-pagan-spiritual radio waves permeate the fog-cloaked air & I am captivated, as opposed to being bored with yet another set of riffs on h**ntological theme - interference, plain piano song, shimmering electronics, remote listening & shadowy melodies make for an elegant & sinister experience.
