Inspired by Wyndham Lewis's 'Blast' from 1914, Marshall McLuhan first produced his own version in 1954, then this book with layout design by Harley Parker in 1969. I think the section on typing is very good, so I've included that. Note the 'age of implosion' page, 'implosion in which everybody is involved with everybody' - social networking anyone? Blasting the beaver as a 'symbol of our dammed up creativity' made me smile. Bless Marshall McLuhan.
