Martijn Comes - Tradition Noise

Tradition Noise cover art

..............................................................'cause I'd rather stay here, with all the mad men, than perish with the sad men roaming free'
..........................is a lyric written a long time ago  by you-know-who
& yet
it could be sung by any member of the blogging fraternity today...........
still
we (I) persist & here's one reason why: Martijn Comes' Tradition Noise & being able to tell the whole wide world legion of Include Me Out followers (so many!) about it....'cause it's a great thing, one of the greatest things I've heard this year, which may not be saying much considering we're only midway through February.............
& it's not even from this year (released Nov 2015)......................but I've only just been notified of it's existence..........starting all wibbly-wobbly (technical musical term, look it up) on Depths of the Nile like something from the garden of delete, perhaps, but then shifting gear towards phasing waves rippling across a river of multi-layered rhythms which start to roll almost chaotically yet never straying totally from the source - yes, very good! Then we're in the desert, the Sanai Desert, where some drummers on speed are sending messages to interplanetary craft, or from interplanetary craft...the Egyptian space program must continue (say Brion Gysin & Sun Ra)..............................
so here we are in Middle/Far Out east walking through the Empty City of the Full Moon somewhere beyond the place of dead roads.....intoxicating Old Morocco......queer Tangier hallucinations/chanting electro-charged Outer World music.....................................what? Martijn Comes mixes ancient Tradition, Noise & some ambient calm to great effect. there are too good remixes as well.......on Bandcamp
