Solaris Soundtrack - Eduard Artemyev

Artemyev's electronic soundtrack perfectly encapsulates the mood of foreboding in the film. It was made using an obscure old synthesizer called an ANS (named after Alexander Nikolayevich Scriabin).

You can get it here.

The demo in this clip starts around 4.20 if you want to skip. This machine is truly old school, and the man working it looks like an old school teacher (science dept, naturally).
