The Mechanical Bride - Marshall McLuhan

From my Routledge & Kegan Paul hardback edition, 1967 (which sadly lacks a cover). It was McLuhan's first book, written in 1951.

'Where visual symbols have been employed in an effort to paralyze the mind, they are here used as a means of energizing it.'
