We're lost in the labyrinth of pages. I'm never arbitrary when culling, but have to be decisive and strict.

Life on Saturn inhabited by Sonny sounds OK by me. I don't know if there would be bookshops, but the music would be out of this world.Robin Tomenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18116331238512699017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1475050412104979857.post-16923698377956639142013-08-16T08:27:13.042-07:002013-08-16T08:27:13.042-07:00Hovel? Meanwhile, I've only just managed to clean all the dust from the work off the books and shelves and we await their return to finish the job. Yes, more space does mean more clutter, I suspect, but I'm still contemplating the meaning of finite space and what it means. Perhaps I'll start collecting pins...Robin Tomenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18116331238512699017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1475050412104979857.post-62609375524848639692013-08-16T06:19:53.986-07:002013-08-16T06:19:53.986-07:00Hello - I cam across your facebook entry and then ...Hello - I cam across your facebook entry and then to this blog page on a day when I have new bookshelves being delivered. At the time of writing I am still waiting...

My plan is to use these shelves to augment my existing ones, so I can order my books and clearly decide which ones to get rid of. However, I share many of the anxieties(?) you raise in your writing and wonder if, Borges-like, I am in some kind of loop. Perhaps one way out is to take Burrough's advice - be arbitrary. Or go live on Saturn with Mr. Ra.

One disturbing thought is that if there is life after death, part of my eternity will be spent worrying about my books. It's about finding that middle number, isn't it? - above the point where too few makes you feel wanting, and below the point where too many actually makes you feel stressed. They say that the more room you have the more you fill it anyway so I've concluded that a bigger house is not the answer... I just wish I knew what was!
